Megan is a graduate from Mercer’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling masters program. A native of the Atlanta area, she holds a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Music from Berry College in Rome, GA. Megan's journey into counseling was shaped by her diverse experiences, including working as a preschool teacher and a violin and piano instructor, where she discovered her passion for aiding children in their developmental journey. Committed to fostering a secure and nurturing therapeutic environment, Megan employs a person-centered approach, skillfully incorporating elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play therapy, and art therapy into her practice. With a profound appreciation for music, stemming from her own background as a violinist, she recognizes the therapeutic power of integrating music and art into the counseling process. Megan firmly believes that offering a safe space for creativity empowers children as they navigate the intricate stages of growth.
