EJ is a graduate from Agnes Scott’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling Masters program. She also holds a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Georgia in Athens, GA. Throughout EJ’s professional journey, she has worked in school settings with children across various stages of development and status of ability. Through her experience, she developed a passion for supporting children navigating neurodivergence, life transitions, and identity exploration as well as those coping with depression, anxiety, and trauma- in ways that make them feel affirmed, empowered, and cared for. EJ believes that every child is unique and is dedicated to tailoring care to meet your child where they are, wherever they are. EJ also understands the importance of parent involvement and connection in children’s wellbeing and success. Committed to fostering a secure and nurturing therapeutic environment, Edith uses trauma-informed treatment approaches that include Child Centered Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and expressive arts. She welcomes clients from all cultural and spiritual backgrounds and is LGTBQ+ affirming.
