Jimmy works with children ages 3 and older, adolescents, and adults, helping them achieve their personal goals and create meaningful change. He believes each person possesses unique strengths and resilience, and he collaborates with clients to identify and build upon those strengths throughout the counseling process. Jimmy practices from an Adlerian perspective, emphasizing a collaborative and supportive therapeutic relationship that fosters growth, self-awareness, and empowerment. He has experience providing therapy within the City Schools of Decatur, supporting students from elementary through high school. He has also worked in community mental health at View Point Health, serving clients of diverse ages and backgrounds, and as a mobile crisis responder, assisting individuals experiencing urgent mental health challenges. Through these experiences, Jimmy has developed expertise in working with trauma, grief and loss, family concerns, neurodivergence, identity development, spirituality, career-related issues, self-esteem, and emotional regulation. He has a particular passion for working with family-related concerns, neurodivergence, and helping clients develop greater confidence and emotional wellness. Jimmy earned his Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Georgia State University in 2023 and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Counseling Psychology at Georgia State University.
