Katie is an Associate Professional Counselor in Georgia (#APC010547). She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Georgia State University, where she is now pursuing her PhD in Counselor Education and Practice.
Katie’s passion for counseling grew out of her early experiences as a daycare teacher, elementary school assistant, and nanny. Through these experiences, she discovered how much joy she finds in walking alongside children, adolescents, and families as they grow and navigate life’s challenges.
In counseling, Katie focuses on creating a warm and supportive space where children, adolescents, and adults feel safe and empowered to explore their feelings, strengthen connections, and engage in self-exploration. She uses a personalized approach that includes play therapy, expressive arts, and somatic practices, always tailored to meet each individual’s unique needs. Katie also values working closely with caregivers, believing that true healing and growth happen when the whole family feels supported. Together, she works with you to grow, heal, and discover your strengths.
