Kyndel is a Licensed Professional Counselor (#LPC013321) in the state of Georgia with experience working across the lifespan. Kyndel received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Auburn University, a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Alabama, and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Practice from Georgia State University with an emphasis in childhood and adolescence. ‍ Over the span of her professional career, Kyndel has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families managing anxiety, depression, self-regulation, grief/loss, peer/family relationship issues, religious/spiritual concerns, life transitions, and trauma. In addition to her work at Root and Blossom Counseling, she currently works as an Assistant Professor teaching master’s level counseling students. ‍ Kyndel’s counseling approach is based in constructivism and attachment theory. Thus, Kyndel believes in the importance of fostering autonomy, exploring past relationships, and incorporating developmentally appropriate counseling approaches. Kyndel utilizes warmth, empathy, and compassion to create a brave counseling space conducive for exploration, growth, and change. Kyndel employs a variety of therapeutic interventions, including play therapy and expressive arts to meet the unique needs of each client.
