She/Her

LPC
Sam is a child and adolescent therapist who is passionate about supporting neurodivergent children, teens, and young adults (ages 8-22) as they navigate a world that is not always designed for the way their brains work. She specializes in working with clients experiencing challenges related to ADHD, Autism (Level 1), AuDHD, sensory processing differences, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and school-related concerns such as executive functioning, peer relationships, and academic stress. Her therapeutic approach is warm, playful, and deeply relational. She strives to create a space where young people can show up as their authentic selves without fear of judgment. Believing that children thrive when their support systems are empowered, she takes a collaborative, team-based approach that often includes parents, caregivers, siblings, and educators. Rather than focusing on “fixing” people, Sam helps them develop a deeper understanding of themselves, their strengths, and their goals. She draws from play therapy, TF-CBT, attachment-based approaches, and her background as both an educator and school-based therapist to tailor treatment to each client’s developmental, emotional, and creative needs. Before becoming a therapist, Sam worked as an elementary school teacher, where she discovered her passion for helping children understand emotions and build resilience. She later served as a school-based therapist, partnering with educators and families to create trauma-informed environments and support students’ social-emotional growth. These experiences continue to inform her collaborative and neurodiversity-affirming approach. At the heart of her work is the belief that when young people feel safe, seen, and supported, they are better equipped to grow into confident, connected versions of themselves. Outside of the therapy room, she enjoys reading, spending time in the mountains, cooking and baking, playing games with her husband, and keeping up with her two very opinionated cats.
